Dana White Denies PFL’s Co-Leader Assertion After Bellator Acquisition

So, Dana White, the big boss at Ultimate Fighting Championship, isn’t exactly thrilled. He’s just heard about the Professional Fighters League (PFL) snapping up Bellator, a rival promotion.

And what’s his reaction? Let’s just say he’s not losing any sleep over it.

So, PFL made it official earlier this month. They're buying Bellator, and they've got big plans. They're thinking about hosting separate one-off events under the Bellator name in the near future.

And Donn Davis, the founder of PFL, is feeling pretty good about the whole thing. He's even claiming that PFL is now a "co-leader" in the industry, right up there with UFC.

But Dana White? He's not buying it. Not one bit.

When he heard about Davis's comments, he didn't mince words. He called the deal a case of one failing company buying another.

"Good for them," he said. "I wish them all of the luck in the world... One s——y organization that sells no tickets and nobody watches buys another s----y organization that sells no tickets and nobody watches,” White said at the UFC Austin post-fight press conference. “Sounds like a f---ing winner to me, boy”

And he didn't stop there.

When a reporter suggested that PFL now has a "sound" roster, the 54-year-old UFC frontman had a few questions. He wanted to know about PFL’s pay-per-view buy rates, TV deals, and live event gate.
