Grant Dawson vs. Joe Solecki Scheduled for UFC 302 on June 1

Oh boy, have you heard the latest? Grant Dawson and Joe Solecki are set to throw down. Yep, it’s happening at UFC 302. You can bet your bottom dollar it’s gonna be a sizzler.

Now, where did I hear that? Ah, right. Dawson himself spilled the beans after MMAFighting.com first let the cat out of the bag. And guess what? They’re planning to light up the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., come June 1. No word yet on who’s headlining, though.

Dawson? The dude was on fire, unbeaten in his first 10 fights inside the Octagon. But, man, his last match? A 33-second knockout loss last October at UFC Fight Night 229. Talk about a shocker. Still, the guy’s got some impressive wins under his belt. Names like Damir Ismagulov, Mark O. Madsen, Jared Gordon, and Leonardo Santos pop up on his hit list.

Switching gears to Solecki. He’s been doing his thing in the UFC since he showed up on Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2019. His record? 5-2 in the big league. Though, gotta say, his last outing was a bit of a bummer. Drakkar Klose knocked him out in the first round last December at UFC on ESPN 52.

So, yeah. That’s the scoop. Dawson vs. Solecki. UFC 302. Be there or be square.
