Ian Garry Targets Geoff Neal, Colby Covington for 2024 Fights

Ian Garry, a rising star in the world of MMA, has his eyes set on the prize. He’s got big plans for 2024.

Garry’s next fight is against the experienced welterweight, Geoff Neal. The fight is scheduled for UFC 298 on February 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. But Garry’s got bigger fish to fry.

If he manages to defeat Neal, Garry has his sights set on two more opponents. He’s looking to take on former interim champ Colby Covington and current middleweight champ Sean Strickland.

Garry made his intentions clear in a recent social media post. He wrote out the names of Neal and Covington on a piece of paper, with J. Cole’s “Middle Child” playing in the background. The video ended before Garry could write the third name, but it’s assumed to be Strickland.

It seems like Garry’s got a bone to pick with Covington and Strickland. Recent online and media feuds have put these two fighters in Garry’s crosshairs.

Covington is fresh off a title loss against Leon Edwards at UFC 296. Despite the loss, Covington hasn’t lost his fighting spirit. He recently called out Garry, making a dig at Garry’s personal life.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Covington said, “There is one guy that is a legitimate cuck, and I’ve called him out for that.” He was referring to a book Garry’s wife was promoting titled ‘WAG,’ which stands for ‘Wife And Girlfriend.’

Covington’s interpretation of the term “WAG” isn’t accurate. It’s usually used to refer to the wives and girlfriends of famous sports personalities. However, this misunderstanding has caused quite a stir in Garry’s life.

Garry’s wife, who is 14 years his senior, authored a book titled “How to be a WAG.” This led to a feud with Strickland, who advised Garry to separate from his wife. Garry responded by threatening legal action against the middleweight champion.

As Garry currently competes at 170 pounds, a showdown with Strickland doesn’t seem likely at the moment. But in the world of MMA, anything can happen.
