Jim Miller & Gabriel Benitez to Clash at UFC Fight Night 234 on January 13

Veteran UFC fighter, Jim Miller, is scheduled to make his 43rd walk to the Octagon. He’s matched up against opponent Gabriel Benitez for a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night 234. The fight is slated to happen on January 13 at the UFC Apex center, located in Las Vegas.

Details of the fight were confirmed in a release by the Las Vegas-based UFC promotion on Wednesday. Apart from the Miller versus Benitez clash, other bouts lined up for the event are also noteworthy. The event will be headlined by a much-anticipated rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker. Fans also await a flyweight bout with Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau, as well as a bantamweight scrap involving Ricky Simon and Mario Bautista.

Miller is no stranger to the cage, holding the UFC record for the most wins (25). His recent performances have been impressive, having claimed victory in four of his last five appearances. The latest victory being a knockout against Jesse Butler at UFC on ESPN 46 on June 3, finished in just 23 seconds. Conversely, Benitez is making a comeback and returning to active competition after his last fight in August 2022. In this encounter, he scored a first-round TKO (technical knockout) against Charlie Ontiveros at UFC on ESPN 41. Prior to this victory, “Moggly,” had encountered a rough patch, losing four out of his last five appearances dating back to August 2019.
