Justin Tafa & Marcos Rogerio de Lima to Battle at UFC 298

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has unveiled a heavyweight clash set to amplify its second pay-per-view event in 2024. The match will pit Justin Tafa and Marcos Rogerio de Lima against each other at UFC 298 slated for Feb. 17. Both fighters took to social media to confirm their match following an early report by MMAFighting.com. The main event of UFC 298 is the featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria. The fight is anticipated to be held in Los Angeles, however, confirmation of the location and venue is still pending.

Justin Tafa, whose nickname is “Bad Man,” is on a winning streak with no losses experienced in his last four matches. These winning streaks are inclusive of three first-round knockouts and one dispute that ended in a no-contest. The latest win for Tafa was a knockout against Austen Lane during UFC 293 held on Sept. 9.

Conversely, Marcos Rogerio de Lima’s recent performances in the Octagon have been mixed. He has a record of 2-2 in his last four appearances. De Lima’s most recent match ended in a disappointing 33-second knockout defeat to Derrick Lewis at the UFC 291 event that took place in July.
