Kevin Jousset Sets Sights on Daniel Rodriguez Following UFC Fight Night 233 Victory

Kevin Jousset is eyeing the welterweight rankings. After his victory over Kenan Song at UFC Fight Night 233, he’s hungry for more.

Jousset’s win was a significant one. It was a decisive decision win over Song, marking his second outing. His debut at UFC 293 in September saw a first-round submission victory over Keifer Crosbie.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Jousset is already looking ahead. He’s set his sights on welterweight veteran Daniel Rodriguez. Rodriguez is due to complete a USADA suspension early next year.

Jousset’s interest in Rodriguez is clear. He said, “I saw ‘D-Rod’ got cleared from USADA. I like his style. He’s a very good fighter.” He also mentioned that he’d love to test his skills against Rodriguez.

Despite his recent win, Jousset is aware of the need for improvement. He said, “I thought I would be able to capitalize a bit more. I was not very happy with some technical stuff that I did, but it is what it is. A win is a win, and that’s the main thing.”

Jousset is keen to get back in the ring soon. He’s fought twice in three months and is eager for a quick turnaround. After spending Christmas at home, he’s hoping to fight again in March.

Jousset’s recent record is impressive. He’s undefeated in his last five outings, all within a year. On the other hand, Rodriguez will be eligible to compete in January after a six-month suspension. His recent record includes consecutive stoppage losses against Neil Magny and Ian Garry.
