UFC Champion Sean Strickland Holds Man at Gunpoint Outside His Home in Video

On November 27, 2023, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland shared a video on his Twitter account of an incident outside his Las Vegas home. In the video, he was seen holding a man at gunpoint. The video was captured by Ring.com and started with a man stumbling into Strickland’s driveway and hiding between two cars. Strickland and another individual in a red shirt can be seen approaching and then following the man into the street. Strickland appears to force the man to the ground while aiming a gun at him, with Strickland’s voice audible saying, “Sit the f—k down”.

The footage also appears to show sirens flashing in the background. Initially, Strickland thought the man was trying to steal his car. However, the UFC veteran later explained that the man was involved in a domestic violence situation. According to Strickland, the man was seen being violent with a woman while drunk. Furthermore, a security guard observed the incident, and the suspect drove off, hitting a curb and damaging his vehicle’s tire. The man then continued to drive on the rim of the tire for some time, before trying to hide at Strickland’s residence.

Strickland explained on Instagram, “The guy was drunk stomping out a girl, a security guard seen it, he jumped in his car and drove off. Security followed him, hit a curb, completely shredded his tire, drove on the rim for awhile then jumped out and tried to hide at my house. I initially thought he was stealing my car. He was arrested.” He also posted a photo of the vehicle the man used after the damage to its tire. The details beyond this information regarding the incident are not known. Meanwhile, Strickland is scheduled to defend his middleweight belt against Dricus Du Plessis in the UFC 297 main event on January 20 in Toronto.
