Alex Perez isn’t wasting any time. After his main event victory at UFC on ESPN 55, he’s jumping right back into the fray.
He’s set to face Tagir Ulanbekov in a flyweight clash on June 15 at UFC Fight Night. The fighters themselves spilled the beans on social media, following a scoop by Eurosport. Interestingly, this fight comes after Perez’s recent win over Matheus Nicolau just last Saturday.
The venue? None other than the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Though, as of now, the night’s main event remains a mystery.
Perez’s win over Nicolau was a game-changer. It snapped a tough three-fight losing streak for him. Before that victory, he faced defeats from some of the division’s toughest competitors: Deiveson Figueiredo, Alexandre Pantoja, and Muhammd Mokaev.
On the other side of the octagon, Russia’s Ulanbekov is making waves. He’s won four out of his first five UFC bouts. His latest victory? A submission win against Cody Durden at UFC 296.
So, yeah. This upcoming fight? It’s shaping up to be something special. Can’t wait to see how it all goes down.
