“Brendan Allen” ended the UFC Fight Night 232 in a noteworthy fashion, reaping additional financial benefits for his formidable performance in the Octagon. In recognition of his hard work, Allen bagged one of the four $50,000 “Performance of the Night” awards dished out by the promotion on Saturday. Allen took down “Paul Craig” in the main event of Saturday’s middleweight contest at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Strikingly, he compelled his Scottish opponent to capitulate to a rear-naked choke 38 seconds into Round 3, marking his sixth consecutive victory.
Meanwhile, “Amanda Ribas” saw an impressive return to the strawweight division, securing her place as one of the $50,000 winners. Ribas’s initial pace against “Luana Pinheiro” may have been slow, but she managed to quickly turn things around. A spinning wheel kick, followed by hard-hitting punches at the 3:53 mark of Round 3, successfully put Pinheiro away.
In another thrilling bout, “Joanderson Brito” had a challenging start against the positional control of “Jonathan Pearce” in their preliminary featherweight match. However, the Brazilian shifted the momentum when he forced Pearce to tap out with a ninja choke, 3:54 into the second round. Brito’s valiant effort didn’t go unnoticed as he too received a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus.
The final victor of the night was “Jeka Saragih”, who walked away with the last $50,000 check. Saragih was up against “Lucas Alexander” in a catchweight match-up. After just 1:31 into Round 1, a powerful right hook from the “Road to UFC” finalist took Alexander down. Saragih capitalized on the opportunity and secured his win with a few more punches.
