Oh boy, this July’s gonna be lit! Two of the UFC’s featherweight big shots are aiming to climb that ladder.
So, here’s the scoop. Back in March, Super Lutas dropped a tweet hinting that Arnold Allen and Giga Chikadze were set to throw down in England. But, you know, they left us hanging without a date. Fast forward to Thursday, and bam! Multiple sources confirmed these two are gonna face off at UFC 304. And guess where? Manchester, England, at the Co-op Live, on July 27. Oh, and there’s another featherweight match that night – Nathaniel Wood vs. Daniel Pineda.
Now, let’s talk about Allen. The dude’s hit a rough patch, losing back-to-back decisions to Max Holloway and Movsar Evloev. Tough break, especially after a killer 10-win streak in the Octagon. He’s beaten some serious names, like Calvin Kattar, Dan Hooker, and Sodiq Yusuff. And get this – it’s his first fight back on home turf since 2022.
On the flip side, “Ninja” Chikadze is bouncing back. After a bump in the road against Kattar, he outmaneuvered Alex Caceres last August. Before that hiccup, Chikadze was on fire, winning his first seven UFC bouts. Remember when he KO’d Cub Swanson with that insane body kick and punches combo? Or when he demolished Edson Barboza? Yeah, that’s the kind of momentum he’s bringing.
So, yeah, UFC 304 is shaping up to be one heck of a night. Can’t wait to see how this all goes down!
