Brendan Allen, Marvin Vettori to Lead UFC Card as Middleweights on April 6

Alright, folks, we’ve got some news for you. There’s a middleweight showdown coming up. It’s going to be Brendan Allen against Marvin Vettori. Now, these two are set to headline an Ultimate Fighting Championship card on April 6.

This news was just announced by the Las Vegas-based promotion on Wednesday. But, here’s the catch – they didn’t tell us where it’s going to be. No location, no venue. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Let’s talk about Brendan Allen. The guy’s on a roll. He’s been victorious in his last six Octagon appearances, dating back to February 2022. And get this, five of those wins were by submission. His most recent victory was against Paul Craig. He tapped him out with a rear-naked choke 38 seconds into Round 3 of the UFC Fight Night 232 main event on Nov. 18. His record in the UFC? A solid 11-2.

Now, on to Marvin Vettori. He’s a former middleweight title challenger. His UFC record in 2023 was 1-1. He outpointed Roman Dolidze at UFC 286 in March. But then, he dropped a five-round verdict to Jared Cannonier in the UFC on ESPN 47 headliner this past June. Despite this, Vettori has some notable wins against Paulo Costa, Kevin Holland, and Jack Hermansson.

So, there you have it. Allen vs. Vettori. April 6. Ultimate Fighting Championship. Be ready.
