Brunno Ferreira Plans to Showcase New Skills Against Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night 234

Brunno Ferreira, a fighter known for his skills, has learned some important lessons from his defeats. He’s a man who knows how to take a hit and come back stronger.

After an impressive knockout of Gregory Rodrigues in his promotional debut at UFC 283, Ferreira experienced his first career loss. He was defeated by Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC on ESPN 48 this past July.

This Saturday, Ferreira, also known as “The Hulk,” is set to make a comeback. He’ll be fighting Phil Hawes in a middleweight bout at UFC Fight Night 234. Ferreira believes that his knockout loss to Ruziboev was a crucial part of his development as a fighter.

“That loss made me stronger because it helped to improve me as a fighter,” Ferreira confessed to Sherdog.com. He’s corrected past mistakes and added new strategies to his repertoire. He’s eager to demonstrate his improved skills in the Octagon this Saturday.

Andre Dida, Ferreira’s head coach, believes that Ferreira may get to showcase his judo black belt skills for the first time. “Brunno is like a dream fighter to any trainer,” Dida said. He’s shown his knockout power in the UFC, but he also has a strong judo background and excellent ground game.

Dida revealed that they’ve created a game plan for Hawes where Ferreira will likely display different tools. Regardless of how the fight unfolds, Ferreira’s primary goal is to avoid leaving the decision to the scorecards.

“I was able to do a complete camp of three months for this fight where we were able to study the main holes in my opponent’s game, and we worked hard on that,” he said. Ferreira knows that anything can happen in an MMA fight, but their plan is to knock out or submit Hawes in the first round.
