Brunno Ferreira Seeks Rematch with ‘Shara Bullet’ in Brazil, Claims Prior Avoidance

“Brunno Ferreira’s got some heavy hands, folks! 😳 #UFCVegas84 pic.twitter.com/51BTcOUrBZ” – ESPN MMA, January 14, 2024.

Ferreira’s got his eyes set on a fight. He’s itching to take on fellow prospect Sharabutdin Magomedov, and he wants the showdown to happen in Brazil.

Ferreira’s 2024 campaign started with a bang. He KO’d Phil Hawes in the first round of their UFC Fight Night 234 encounter. This victory marked a comeback for “The Hulk” after his single career loss against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC on ESPN 48 last July.

Ferreira confessed to the media, “I put a weight on myself. This was a weight that was lifted off my back.” He’s stoked to start the year with such a fight, feeling fortunate and happy. “This is the way I wanted to start my year. This is the way the year is supposed to start.”

He’s also got his sights set on Magomedov. “Shara Bullet” had a dominant win in his UFC debut against Ferreira’s teammate, Bruno Silva, at UFC 294 in October. The fight was in Abu Dhabi, often considered home territory for Russian fighters. Ferreira wants to return the favor by inviting Magomedov to Brazil.

“Everything has a why. Everything has a reason,” Ferreira said. He believes this fight was supposed to happen earlier and accuses Magomedov of dodging him once before. He also mentions his brother, training partner, and friend, Bruno Silva, ‘Blindado.’ He welcomed Magomedov into his home, and Ferreira wants to do the same. “So ‘Shara Bullet,’ we want to face him in Brazil.”

Even if the fight against Magomedov doesn’t happen, Ferreira is determined to stay active. “My goal, if everything goes well, is actually to finish the year with four wins, to show people that I’m not just here,” Ferreira said. “I’m here to show something. I’m here to grow. I’m here to be a champion. My goal is to have four wins by the end of the year. We started the year pretty well.”
