Dana White Discusses Necessity of Full Camp for Conor McGregor’s Return

Dana White’s got nothing new to spill on Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback. Not a peep.

So, he chatted with Kevin Iole, right? And he’s pointing fingers at McGregor’s busted leg and his fat bank account. Says those are the big reasons why we’re not seeing a fight date on our calendars.

Last time McGregor stepped into the Octagon, things didn’t go his way. He took a nasty hit against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. That was back in July 2021. Ouch. Since then, he’s been coaching, facing off with Michael Chandler on “The Ultimate Fighter 31.” But, guess what? No word on when they’ll actually throw down.

White’s like, “First off, the guy’s coming back from a brutal injury.” Ever heard of Anderson Silva or Chris Weidman? Yeah, they were out for ages with the same deal. And then there’s the money thing. McGregor’s rolling in it. Doesn’t exactly need to rush back.

Silva? He was benched for over a year. Weidman? The guy was out for more than two years. As for McGregor’s current shape? White’s clueless. He’s all, “Ask Conor.”

“Only Conor knows,” White says. He’s aware McGregor’s training. But is he kicking? Is he ready to rumble? Who knows. McGregor’s also got a movie in the pipeline and businesses to run. It’s a whole different ball game with him now.

McGregor hinted at a June comeback, facing Chandler at middleweight. But then White chimed in, suggesting fall might be more realistic for the ex-champ’s return. So, we wait.
