Hey, listen up! We’ve got a bantamweight showdown on the horizon. Yep, you heard it right. Daniel Marcos and Qileng Aori are set to square off. This clash is penciled in for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s event on Feb. 10th. The UFC Fight Night, to be precise, in none other than Las Vegas. MMA Junkie spilled the beans first on Thursday.
Now, here’s a bit of trivia for ya. Marcos, the guy’s undefeated with a 15-0 record. He was supposed to go toe-to-toe with Carlos Vera at UFC Fight Night 233. But, alas, the match got canned due to some pesky visa issues.
Marcos ain’t just any fighter, though. He’s a 2022 contract winner from Dana White’s Contender Series. And boy, has he kept his record clean. Two back-to-back wins inside the Octagon, no less. His debut saw him knock out Saimon Oliveira in Round 2 at UFC 283. Then, the 30-year-old went on to clinch a split-decision win against Davey Grant in July.
On the other side of the ring, we’ve got Aori. His promotional record stands at 3-3. His latest win? A unanimous decision against Johnny Munoz Jr. at UFC Fight Night 229 in October. But, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. The Fight Ready product suffered his first knockout loss against Canada’s Aimann Zahabi at UFC 289.
The Feb. 10 UFC Fight Night isn’t just about these two, though. The main event? A middleweight meeting between Jack Hermansson and Joseph Pyfer. And let’s not forget the featherweight clash between Dan Ige and Lerone Murphy. It’s shaping up to be quite the night, folks!
