A middleweight fight has been scheduled between Gregory Rodrigues and Brad Tavares. The bout, part of the UFC Fight Night lineup, is slated for February 10. Rodrigues made the announcement on his social media channels, though the UFC Fight Night event itself does not presently have a confirmed location or main event.
The 31-year-old Rodrigues, often referred to as “Robocop,” has proven his mettle, winning three of his previous four appearances in the Octagon. His most notable victory of late came at UFC 292, where he overwhelmed Denis Tiuliulin with a barrage of elbows in the early part of their fight, scoring a knockout win. A prominent fighter from the Kill Cliff FC team, Rodrigues boasts a record of 5-2 while fighting with the Las Vegas-based promotion.
On the other hand, Brad Tavares is an Octagon veteran with 23 bouts to his name, having debuted in the UFC back in 2010. Most recently, the 35-year-old from Hawaii broke a streak of two consecutive losses with a unanimous decision victory against the former middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, at UFC 292.
