Themba Gorimbo is reportedly set to take on Kiefer Crosbie in an as-yet-unannounced Ultimate Fighting Championship event slated for February 3rd. Gorimbo announced this upcoming face-off on social media, following an initial report from MMA Mania. Details regarding the official location or main event of the card have not been made public yet.
Gorimbo, holding a standing record of 11-4, made waves earlier this year with his inspirational journey to triumph, which generated considerable attention after his first promotional victory against Takashi Sato during UFC Fight Night 223 on May 20. Originally hailing from South Africa, Gorimbo first burst onto the Octagon scene despite a loss to A.J. Fletcher during UFC Fight Night 219. This came after he had spent the majority of his career engaging in competitions on the African regional scene.
On the other hand, Crosbie, who hails from SBG Ireland, will be seeking to turn his fate around from a first-round submission loss against Kevin Jousset. This had marked his promotional debut at UFC 293. Throughout his career, Crosbie has an overall record of 10-4, which notably includes a balanced 3-3 run during his stint with Bellator MMA.
