UFC 100 is officially in the books. ‘UFC 100’-led card took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, 14 years ago. The eleven-fight-event featured some excellent fights and a several of nice finishes, punctuated by Jon Fitch’s Decision (Unanimous) victory over Paulo Thiago. In the co-main event, Brock Lesnar defeated Frank Mir in round 2 by TKO (Punches).

UFC 100 bonus awards

Traditionally, UFC has handed out bonuses for Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night, and Knockout of the Night. The bonuses ranged from $20,000 up to $120,000. In 2014, the promotion has announced the Performance of the Night bonuses will replace the existing Knockout and Submission of the Night awards. The bonuses will be $50,000 each. There are two types of awards:

  • Fight of the Night is awarded to both fighters in the best fight of the night.
  • Performance of the Night is awarded to fighters who put on the most thrilling individual performance.

There were eleven fights at UFC 100: UFC 100, only four athletes received the bonuses. The Performance of the Night bonus went to Dan Henderson and Tom Lawlor, who will be leaving the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada with an extra $50,000. Yoshihiro Akiyama Vs. Alan Belcher was awarded the Fight of the Night.

Did you know: Reebok sponsorship pay can range from $3,500 per fight to $40,000, depending on athletes' tenure. This deal ends in March 2021.
