UFC 295 is set to feature two more exciting fights, as Derek Brunson goes up against Roman Dolidze in the middleweight division, while Matt Schnell takes on Steve Erceg in a flyweight clash. The event is scheduled to take place on November 11 at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York. UFC 295 will be headlined by a heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.
Brunson vs. Dolidze
Derek Brunson has experienced a rough patch recently, losing his last two fights inside the Octagon. He suffered KO/TKO defeats at the hands of Jared Cannonier and Dricus Du Plessis. However, before this slump, the North Carolina native had an impressive five-fight winning streak between May 2019 and September 2021.
Roman Dolidze’s four-fight winning streak came to an end in his last fight, as he lost a unanimous decision to Marvin Vettori at UFC 286 in March. Despite this setback, “The Caucasian” has maintained a respectable 6-2 record during his UFC tenure.
Schnell vs. Erceg
Matt Schnell has been struggling to find consistency, winning just one of his last four bouts. His most recent victory came in the form of a second-round submission over Su Mudaerji at UFC on ABC 3 in July 2022. Unfortunately for Schnell, his latest fight ended in a second-round knockout loss to Matheus Nicolau at UFC on ESPN 42.
On the other hand, Steve Erceg made a memorable UFC debut when he outpointed David Dvorak at UFC 289 on June 10. The 28-year-old Australian fighter is currently on a nine-fight winning streak in his professional career, adding to the anticipation for his upcoming bout against Schnell.
