UFC Fight Night 236 is shaking things up, folks. Just a few ticks on the clock before the big showdown, and we’ve got changes in the lineup.
Oh, and by the way, if you’re curious, check it out [here](https://www.sherdog.com/events/UFC-Fight-Night-236-Hermansson-vs-Pyfer-100402).
Melsik Baghdasaryan? Yeah, he’s out. An injury’s got him sidelined. So, stepping into the featherweight fray against Hyder Amil is none other than Fernie Garcia. And that’s not all, folks.
Albert Duraev’s got visa woes. Can’t face Robert Bryczek as planned. But hey, Ihor Potieria? He’s jumping in at the eleventh hour to throw down with Bryczek.
The bigwigs over at the Las Vegas-based promotion spilled the beans on Tuesday. They’ve got the UFC Apex in Las Vegas all set for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 236. It’s head-to-head action with Jack Hermansson and Joseph Pyfer leading the charge. Catch it all on ESPN+, starting with prelims at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m. ET.
Garcia’s had a rough go in his first three UFC bouts, all decisions not in his favor. Last time out, he couldn’t outscore Rinya Nakamura at UFC Fight Night 225. Tough break.
On the flip side, Amil’s riding high with an unbeaten streak over eight fights. His latest victory? A unanimous decision win over Emrah Sonmez on Dana White’s Contender Series last August. Not too shabby.
Potieria’s had a bit of a stumble in the Octagon, losing three out of four since snagging a UFC contract. His last outing? A second-round TKO loss to Rodolfo Bellato at UFC on ESPN 52 on Dec. 2. Ouch.
Then there’s Bryczek, hailing from Poland, stepping into the Octagon on a five-fight win streak. This Oktagon MMA vet boasts a 17-5 record, with 11 wins by knockout or technical knockout. Keep an eye on this guy.
