Abu Dhabi, guess what? We’re coming back real soon! 👀
Mark your calendars, folks. It’s happening on AUG 3, SAT. You won’t wanna miss this. #UFCAbuDhabi, @VisitAbuDhabi, @InAbuDhabi, and yes, there’s a pic to prove it’s legit. Check it out here: pic.twitter.com/PZA4etmDUP.
Oh, and the date? It’s set for March 6, 2024. Keep your eyes peeled.
Now, onto some juicy news. The Ultimate Fighting Championship is making a grand return to Abu Dhabi this summer. And it’s not just any return. We’re talking about a Fight Night event at the Etihad Arena on Aug. 3. But hold your horses, they haven’t spilled the beans on who’s fighting yet.
You see, the UFC and Abu Dhabi have this thing going on. Usually, in October, they throw a pay-per-view event. Remember UFC 294 last October? Islam Makhachev knocked Alexander Volkanovski out cold, defending his lightweight title. But here’s the kicker: we’re not sure if this upcoming event is the only UFC show in Abu Dhabi for 2024.
Here’s a bit of nostalgia for you. The last time the UFC threw a Fight Night in the United Arab Emirates was during the COVID-19 pandemic madness. From June 2020 to January 2021, Abu Dhabi was the UFC’s home away from home, hosting 11 cards, including eight Fight Nights and three pay-per-views. Ah, memories.
