UFC & Saudi Arabia Extend Deal for Future Event, Sponsorship

Big news, folks! 🎉 Riyadh Season and the UFC just shook hands on a major deal. They’re teaming up for not just one, but several events. This includes a UFC showdown in Las Vegas and another in Riyadh. Oh, and let’s not forget the Power Slap competitions. Yes, you heard that right. #RiyadhSeason 🇸🇦❤️

Turki Alalshikh dropped this bombshell on Twitter, May 7, 2024. The buzz is real!

But wait, there’s more. This partnership isn’t just a one-off. After the UFC’s grand entrance in Saudi Arabia this June, they’re planning to stick around. Yep, another event is on the horizon for 2024-25.

And guess what? Riyadh Season isn’t just a spectator. They’re sponsoring UFC 306 at The Sphere, Las Vegas, this September 14. For those out of the loop, Riyadh Season is a big deal. It’s an annual festival of sports and entertainment, started in 2019, running from October to March.

Alalshikh’s pretty pumped about it. He says it’s all about bringing global events to Riyadh Season, attracting folks from all corners with varied interests. And with UFC’s massive fanbase, it’s a match made in heaven.

The UFC’s Saudi debut? It’s happening June 22 at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh. The main event? A face-off between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. And the co-main? Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alexander Volkov. Can’t wait!

The date for the next UFC event in Saudi? Still a mystery. But it’s happening during Riyadh Season. Stay tuned! 🥊
